Discover Cymru is a journal telling stories of adventure and travel in Wales.
You can read all of our articles online here, and in the future we plan to share them with you in print too. Our stories are carefully curated via our community of creators, adventurers and photographers from right across Wales.
Discover Cymru started over on Instagram! Over the past 6 years we’ve built up a community of many, many thousands — and we love sharing our beautiful country with you all.
We started off as a hub for photographers to share their work, and have grown from there. We’re always getting asked for tips on the best destinations, adventures and things to do in Wales, so we launched our own site to share more with you.
We’re all about slow, sustainable travel. And supporting our friends.
That doesn’t mean you have to move slow (especially if you’re on one of Wales’ epic mountain bike trails) — just that you take a moment to appreciate this beautiful place. We’re blessed with some of the best landscapes in the world, it would be a shame to miss it!
And when it comes to supporting friends, we’re talking about Wales’ fantastic independent businesses and those that support us when we’re out on adventures. You can find many of the Indy businesses over in our Siop Local directory — and each year we publish a calendar to raise funds for Mountain Rescue Wales and Wales Air Ambulance.
